A partnership between Ramsey County and the SISU Foundation took another step forward on Tuesday. The project would entail the construction of an outdoor center at Battle Creek Regional park, snowmaking for ski trails, along with additional lighting.

Want to learn to ski, or ski a bit more efficiently? SISU’s “Fundamentals of Skiing” (aka Learn-2-Ski) classes are designed to help the beginner to intermediate skier get comfortable on skis. Snow will be flying before you know it! A complete lineup of adult Fall-Winter classes are on tap aimed at a full range of skiers BEGINNER to ADVANCED. Groups meet for 20-22 sessions beginning in October with basic dryland, strength, balance, flexibility and technique work being the focus. Once snow flies, everything from the basic ski fundamentals to injury prevention and elite training components are covered (for appropriate levels of skiers). Classes are all over the metro – so find one close to you. Each evening classes meet, participants are broken into groups of similar ability with a qualified coach to lead the way. Get your friends – a great way to be active, get fit and have fun!!! WE HAVE STARTED – BUT WE STILL SOME OPENINGS IN FALL-WINTER CLASSES – REGISTER TODAY!!
Additionally, a full schedule of Learn-2-Ski Classes and Nordic Hiking classes will be offered at nights and during the day. Call or write for a complete schedule or for more information.
